Student guide for setting up printers on ChromeOS

The school policy for students on ChromeOS devices, is that they should always sign into their school profile from the login screen while at school, signing in this way will make the printer setup procedure mostly automatic too as an added bonus!

When you first sign in, the school profile will start to download any standard school issues applications to the Chromebook, including the print software Papercut Mobility Print, so when it comes time to print the process is as follows:

  1. Head over to your browser or application you want to print from, select a document to print and select "See more" to show the FollowMe print queues.
Colour printing and black and white (B&W) printing is setup under two different queues as they're charged differently, so make sure you're only using colour if you need it!

  2. For your first print, you'll need to sign into papercut, simply enter your student ID for the username and school issued password, then select Sign in and print|
  3. To release the print job, head over to the library printer and enter your student ID to release the print jobs
